Huge room with 2 double beds and a clawfoot tub. Impressive entrance/reception and grand staircase. Dungeon Bar has great ambiance and lovely food. Full Irish breakfast was delicious with impeccable service. Amazing grounds with old stables, sacred circle, and babbling brook.

The Castle itself and the furnishings were beautiful. The paintings and game hanging was great. The bedroom was comfortable, and the book room pub was very relaxing upon arrival.

The staff were more than helpfull, we had a problem about meds; and they aranged a chemist in Birr to stay open till 6/30p.M. The clay pigon shooting was very good, and the mountains near the castle, the suites were the bizz.
The only fault I have as a smoker was the area outside the main door, a smoking area with a bit of heat would be great.
